Stayin' Alive: How to Sustain What You've Started

Ever write a few great sentences, or even paragraphs, and then hit a wall? Of course you have. We all have. Sometimes we become stymied because we don't know where to go from there. Sometimes there is nowhere to go. But often there is, and we just can't see it. Maybe we've got a fixed idea about the direction of the work that needs unfixing. Or maybe we're not paying attention to what's already in play. Or perhaps we are afraid to enter the portal we've just built for ourselves. This class will look at beginnings and talk about how to make the great journey to the middle. Or at least the next page. We will do some writing in class, and look at the beginnings of work by participants if they so wish.
