While Graham is away, the other interns shall play
Post by Tom Heuser
Greetings, Tom here: that one elusive intern that everyone hears about, but never sees and who never leaves his archives. Well, have I got scoop for you.
While Graham kept insisting there be “No More Fun,” I took to plotting away in my stacks; waiting for the right moment to share my plans with you all. I’ve decided that we’re going to have lots of fun; that’s right. While Graham is off living it up on his lavish intern salary in the big city, I will organize Team ZAPP to carry out this Blueprint of ZAPP detailing an exciting new layout!
Yes, and better yet, Emily has been on board for this project since the beginning. Ever wonder why she was off to drink so much coffee lately? Honestly, did you really think she was drinking that much coffee? Well, as a matter of fact she was, but she would take extraordinarily long trips to the coffee pot to allow time for us to meet and conspire.
So, I’d love to pontificate the rationale behind every decision, but I am only going to focus on the most controversial. As you can see, the main desk and rare zines cabinet will be moved to the kitchen. With the surrounding counter space and cabinets, this area would function quite well for processing incoming zines. Now, before you gasp about having precious materials near a sink, just keep in mind that currently the rare zines are right next to a water heater, so their current location isn’t much better. Otherwise, we can easily install a Plexiglas splash guard on either side of the sink to minimize exposure. Given our limited options I think this is the best choice.
So, come see the exciting changes at ZAPP starting next week!
