The House is located at 1634 Eleventh Avenue in Seattle. Parking is available to the rear of the building and on the street.

Bus Routes

#10 & #11

From downtown, get off at E. Pine and Eleventh Ave. One block north on Eleventh Ave. takes you to Richard Hugo House.

#7, #9 and #49

From the U. District or downtown, get off at E. Pine and Broadway (at Seattle Central Community College). Continue east on Pine, take a left (north) on Eleventh Ave. Hugo House is one block up.

From the U.District, Montlake, or downtown, get off at E. John & Eleventh Ave. Head south on Eleventh Ave. Hugo House is 4 blocks down on the left.

After 6:30 p.m. Monday–Sunday, Hugo House has 22 parking spots available for Hugo House patrons, including one ADA approved accessible space. From 9 a.m.–6:30 p.m. please park in the northeast corner of our lot (the signs are marked "General Parking").

For special events such as the Hugo Literary Series, we will secure additional off-street parking for our patrons. Please contact the director of facilities  for any additional information.
