Did you hear? We’ve moved! But only temporarily, while the new Hugo House is built in the same place as our current location.
What does this mean for classes?
The only thing different about classes will be the location. Our temporary location is next to the Frye Art Museum. The official address is:
1021 Columbia St.
Seattle, WA 98104
What’s the transportation situation?
The parking is a bit easier, especially in the evening, in this part of First Hill; plus, there’s the First Hill Streetcar that stops by our new location, and which connects to the Broadway Streetcar and South Lake Union Streetcar via downtown.
As far as bus lines go, you may take the 12 from Interlaken Park, the 64 from Lake City to Downtown to First Hill, the 303 from Shoreline Park & Ride, and the 309 from Kenmore Park & Ride. From Downtown, you may take the 3, 4, 12, or 13, which typically take about fifteen minutes. From the University District, you can take the Light Rail to Capitol Hill, and from there, the Broadway Streetcar.
What is the temporary space like?
We think it’s just as cozy and quirky as our old space! There are various room sizes, suitable for both small and large classes, and we’ll have the usual setup and white boards. Best of all, we’ll keep offering the same number and quality of classes.
What will classes look like when you move to the brand-new home once it’s built?
We will have six classrooms in the new home, of varying sizes, and we will have upgraded furniture and tables more suited to class sizes.
