Wilson_DiehlWhat is the title of your class?
Dig In!

People should take this class if…
they have an essay or memoir chapter they’d like extensive, thoughtful, and helpful feedback on.

Are any of your works online and available to the public?
Yes! My blog has a list of some of my online publications.

What’s your teaching philosophy?
Same as my parenting philosophy: Set expectations high. Have fun. Be nice.

Faulkner said to “kill your darlings.” Can you remember a specific darling you’ve killed and why? (Refrain from admitting to actual homicide in your Classy Talk Survey.)
Too many murders to remember.

What’s your favorite implement to write with? Why?
Black Ultra Fine Point Sharpie. It makes my handwriting look a little less like that of a crazy person. Also, it flows nicely.

What are you working on right now? What’s the hardest thing about it?
Essays. Always with the essays. The hardest thing is believing they’re worthy of an audience.

What’s your favorite word in the English vocabulary?
Not so much a word as a name of a diner in Alabama: The ‘Twixt & ‘Tween.
