Legal Rights of Authors: Literary Agreements, Option Agreements and Copyright

Matthew Hooper will take you through a typical literary contract, and discuss issues like advances, personal liability, ownership of derivative works, royalties, affiliate licensing and similar issues (concentrating on land mines to avoid and how to protect your long term rights). He will discuss copyright issues and option agreements as well. Matt is holding this FREE presentation to help local authors better understand their legal rights, as many sign agency agreements or publishing contracts without understanding the ramifications of the document they are signing.
