Winter Write-In with Write Our Democracy: State of the Union

Marking two years since the launch of the series (and two years since the inauguration), Hugo House and Write Our Democracy present a special Winter Write-In: State of the Union.

Writers from around Washington State will gather to write, speak, and deliver their own State of the Union address. Featured readers include Donna Miscolta, Robert Lashley, Deepa Bhandaru, Kirsten Sundberg Lunstrum, and Troy Osaki.

Join them to help build a strong community of writer-activists, create art to inspire change, and turn your writing into action.

Originally launched as Writers Resist, a movement that inspired nearly 100 worldwide events on January 15, 2017, Write Our Democracy is an initiative to gather and mobilize writers and focus public attention on the ideals of a free, just, and compassionate democracy.
