How to Catch a Salmon Poem

When people ask, “What's your writing practice like? How do you write poems?” I often reply that you must always be casting your net. You don’t always catch ‘em, but the more often you try, the more often you’ll succeed. In this workshop, we’ll respond to a series of prompts aimed at cultivating poems for a salmon-themed anthology. By the end of our time together, you’ll have a fresh catch of ideas to help you reel in new poems. This class will be held at Alki Beach in West Seattle.
