Spoken Word Scribes GRADES 9-12

This session of Scribes will explore the craft of spoken word poetry with superstar poet performers Naa and Matt. Together, you’ll engage with multiple aspects of writing specifically for performance, and gain the skills to perform your work with confidence. Days will be full of writing, editing, and polishing drafts, as well as reading and listening to a diverse range of poems and performers including some special guests. All skill levels welcome.

This camp will be held online using a combination of Zoom and Google Classroom.

Full tuition for this camp is $450

90% tuition is $405 

60% tuition is $270 

30% tuition is $135

Naa Akua is a 2019 Citizen University Poet-in-Residence, queer poet, emcee, and Gregory Award winning actor. They are a WITS writer-in-residence at Franklin High School and co-facilitator for Young Women Empowered Y-WE Lead mentoring program.
