Want your reader to come closer to your book, to feel like he or she is in the middle of the story? Want readers to know what it felt like to be you? We’ll examine what it takes to bring a reader inside a story so they can’t put the book down. We’ll read and discuss published work, examining characterization, narrative tension, dialogue, language, setting, scenes, and images. Students will have the opportunity to receive feedback from the teacher on their writing at least once.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Winter quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
