All Levels | Flash fiction’s brevity, creativity, and impact have made it a significant part of the literary world. In this class we’ll do close readings of published flash from Best Small Fictions and other sources to examine how it achieves its effect on readers. Then, using a series of prompts, students will generate their own stories for class discussion and evaluation. The class will also provide information on submitting work for publication.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Spring quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
