To sell a nonfiction book, you need to complete a book proposal. It’s that simple. Part literary piece, marketing pitch, and business plan, there’s an art to book proposal. In this course, we’ll cover the various elements of the book proposal, with homework designed to guide you to a working draft of a proposal by the end of class. The course will touch on all types of nonfiction, with a primary focus on narrative nonfiction on any subject.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Winter quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
