The Poem After

One of the most essential methods of human communication is the process of Call & Response. Many books of poetry contain poems that are in conversation with each other or speak to a shared theme or tone. Even the individual poems we write are often in response to a call that we have no choice but to answer. But how do we keep that conversation going? Through the exercises, ideas, and prompts in this workshop, you’ll discover new ways to help your poems call ahead and talk back.
