The Weirder, the Better: Poetic Forms

Lists, spells, conversation, instructions for performance: all of these can be poetic forms. How is what we say shaped by how we say it? We’ll read a variety of short poems that use specific structures for inspiration; you’ll pick one of these systems to be your prompt, and experiment! You’ll leave the class with new work and plenty of ideas for future poems.
