Introductory | This course is designed for writers of all levels and genres interested in exploring the nuances of dialogue and seeking authentic voices for their characters. By doing close readings, as well as sharing our work aloud, we will practice hearing dialogue and identifying techniques to keep our writing emotive and original. In addition to doing in-class exercises, students are encouraged to bring examples of dialogue from their own writing so we can give feedback on what sounds like real talk.
