Introductory. Have you always wanted to write poetry, or simply share yours with family and friends? This class is designed for beginning poets who want to learn the elements of poetry thoroughly. Each week we’ll explore one of these elements: imagery, metaphor, rhythm and sounds, forms and other topics through reading and writing assignments. In-class work will include writing, discussing our readings, and critiquing poems based on provided guidelines.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Winter quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
