Instructor: Gabriela Denise Frank. This class will explore a range of structures capable of hosting ghosts, from epistolary to erasure, the haunted dialogues of contrapuntals, and the glorious twisting and (re)turning form of obsession: the sestina.

Instructor: Theo Nestor. This class will discuss the essential elements of memoir writing, such as scenes, structure, voice, and more.

Instructor: Stephanie Hammer. This class explores the way magical realism—in short and longer forms—can open the emotional doors of laughter, fear, and perhaps even wonder, through readings, prompts, and homework assignments.

Instructor: Christine Hemp. For writers of all genres, this class will explore the concepts of home and belonging, with a focus on scene and power of reflection.

Instructor: Melanie Figg. This generative class is focused on the poetry of Gwendolyn Brooks, with readings, discussion, in-class writing and workshopping, and more.

Instructor: Jay Aquinas Thompson. This generative writing and reading class explores the cosmos of long poems: bigger life, more vulnerability, and grander designs; with workshops, class discussion, and detailed feedback around students' work.

Instructor: Anca L. Szilágyi. This generative class includes examination and exploration of writing with memory and the senses, with discussion, in-class writing prompts, and workshop.

Instructor: Andrew Bell. Through exploratory writing and workshops, students will design gripping narratives, develop complex characters, and write first acts that hook our audiences and set our scripts up for success.

Instructor: Theo Nestor. This class includes activities to help students who are at the beginning stages of writing a memoir plan and structure their story.

Instructor: Rachel Sobel. This course will work to establish a writing practice for each student's individual writing process, with topics like project management, how to get into the habit of writing regularly, and more.

Instructor: Greta Kline & Molly Schaeffer. Co-taught by a poet/visual artist and a professional singer-songwriter, this generative class will explore the relationship between writing and performance, examining cross-genre work, improvisation, and more.

Instructor: Wendy Kendall. This workshop will explore crafting suspense in your story's setting/mood, character development, clues (not just for mysteries), and conflict.

Instructor: Geraldine Woods. This class will review the conventions of "correct grammar" and look at examples of effective "broken" rules and creative divergence, with in class writing exercises.

Instructor: Miriam BC Tobin. In this introductory playwriting workshop, we'll learn the basics of craft elements through interactive discussions, group exercises, and generative writing time.

Instructor: Jennifer (JP) Perrine. This generative poetry class explores the vastness and nuance of love through examination and implementation of various poetic approaches such as the aubade, the elegy, and the ode.

Instructor: Cara Stoddard. In this creative nonfiction course, writers will cultivate a habit of turning their attention to the changing of the seasons and gain fresh techniques for writing about place, cycles, the natural world, and more.

Instructor: Jose Hernandez Diaz. This workshop will explore both the surreal and the political prose poetry, with prompts and discussion around improvisation, drafting and revision, and options for weekly instructor feedback.

Instructor: April Dávila. This live, interactive demonstration will cover the basics through advanced features of the writing software, Scrivener.

Instructor: Lindsay Newton. Appropriate for any writer with a complete manuscript or proposal, this course will examine successful letters and in-house acquisitions materials; students will walk away with a ready-to-send query letter.

Instructor: Grace Bialecki. With close readings and generative exercises, this class explores the poems from American Journal: Poems for Our Time.

Instructor: Noah Zanella. In this generative seminar, we will look at the role of the quotidian in poetry and prose from a selection of queer writers and write our own pieces exploring the potential of the everyday.

Instructor: Corinne Manning. This workshop will utilize the Critical Response Process to workshop each individual student's story; students will conference with instructor to determine the craft element focus for class discussions.

Instructor: Christie Valentin-Bati. This generative course examines the use of myth and folklore, including African folk hero and voodoo, as a tool of resilience, community, and grief.
