DUNE Mini-Comics Night

Join us today for the 100th edition of DUNE with an extra long DUNE day!

On Saturday, March 28th participants will be creating comics and illustrations for the 100th issue of the mini-comic anthology DUNE. Hugo House on Capitol Hill who partnered with the organizer Marc Palm in 2025 will host an eight hour long event celebrating this milestone.

Hugo House is large enough to accommodate 50-80+ participants normally, more are expected for issue 100. Be prepared for some elbow to elbow space. All are welcome despite skill level or experience. All artwork must be started and finished within the time allowed in black & white and totally analog. A special edition book will be published with all the submitted work and available to only contributors at the following month's meeting on Tuesday April 28th.

Dune – Mini-Comics Night 100 will take place on Saturday, March 28th from 1pm – 9pm. Two drink minimum is required from the soda/beer/wine bar located in Hugo House. Bring your own materials and ideas. Each participant will be asked to donate $10 – $20 (cash or digital payment) towards the cost of printing a special edition book.

There will motivational tunes from a live DJ spinning records, a limited amount of snacks available, as well as an "Inspiration Packet" given out to the first 100 contributors.
