Ask a Memoirist with Kent Wong
Join local memoirist Kent Wong for a free one-hour writing Q&A. Kent will discuss his new book Swimming to Freedom and then will offer some of his expert tips, tricks, and advice on the art and craft of writing memoir. Come to the call with questions about your work-in-progress or for ideas about how to get started.

Kent Wong was born in China. In 1974 he escaped the Cultural Revolution over water to Hong Kong and shortly after moved to the United States as a refugee. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington and his MD at Harvard Medical School, and after a medicine residency at Stanford and an anesthesia residency at the University of Washington, he practiced as an anesthesiologist. He is now retired and lives near Seattle.
