Yes, for anyone who’s a fan of the meta, this is indeed going to be a panel about panels.
Every year at this time tout le monde littéraire is abuzz with plans for panels to propose for the next year’s Association of Writers and Writing Programs conference. In 2014, for the first time in decades the conference will be held here in Seattle, February 26 – March 1.
AWP held a session at their conference in Boston last month on how to put together and submit a strong proposal, but if you missed that and have questions, come join Waverly Fitzgerald, Rebecca Hoogs, Peter Mountford, and Tree Swenson, and listen to veteran AWP presenters talk about the process. Presentations will be brief with plenty of time for Q&A. Who knows, you may connect with kindred spirits that evening and concoct new panels—which would give you a little over two weeks to pull everything together before the May 1 deadline.
