Ludonarrative in Video Games (Panel Discussion)

Join Us at Hugo House for Ludonarrative in Video Games!

What happens when storytelling meets gameplay? Dive into the heart of this exciting intersection at Ludonarrative in Video Games, a dynamic two-hour panel event where game developers explore how narrative and mechanics intertwine to create immersive gaming experiences.

What is Ludonarrative, anyway?

ā€œLudonarrativeā€ is the meeting point between ludic (gameplay, mechanics) and narrative (story, character). It’s where the art of storytelling and the science of game design collide—and when done well, it’s what turns a game from fun to unforgettable.

What to Expect:

Join a panel of talented game developers as they break down how story and gameplay work together in their titles. Each panelist will have 15–20 minutes to showcase their game that will be complete with trailers and gameplay, and discuss how they craft compelling stories that enhance player experience and gameplay.

🕹ļø Featured Developers:

  • Heart 20 Games – Heart of the Dungeon

More developers to be announced soon!

Moderated by Coleman Andersen, the conversation will offer insights into the creative process, followed by a Q&A and casual mixer. This is your chance to meet the minds behind the games, ask questions, and network with fellow gamers and creators!

Don't miss out: If you’re a game designer, storyteller, or just love a good narrative-driven game, this event is for you.

The House bar will be open to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
