The Wildcard Bard: Readings by Heather McHugh, K. Silem Mohammad and Brian Reed

Join K. Silem Mohammad, Brian Reed and Heather McHugh for an evening of poetry, performance art and music to benefit Caregifted, an organization that gives caregivers a well-deserved respite.

From Heather McHugh:

Come hear Shakespeare shouted out and shaken up! How can an on-line generator and an in-brain knack conspire to make amazing poetry? How could meaninglessness make a people-pleasing music? And what can anyone acquire to replace, say, 5K of near-zero-interest-bearing long-term investments with something of intrinsic worth that can only go UP in value???? We dare you to FIND OUT!

Enjoy an evening of refinement and riffraff, and get answers to these and other burning questions when we present THE WILDCARD BARD — with quietly decibellious performances of WILD art— AND A FIERCELY-SILENT AUCTION OF THE FINE KIND. Join K. Silem Mohammad, Brian Reed and Heather McHugh (not to mention the spirits of Beckett and Holbein and Linda McCartney and more!) on October 5, 2012, from 7 to 10 PM at Hugo House, in honor of CAREGIFTED.

Tickets are $7 for students, $10 for general admission.

Tickets at the door or by purchasing them online: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/280521
