Worst Practices for Writing Teachers

What’s the worst writing advice you ever got? Who was the worst teacher you ever had? In this workshop Ryan Boudinot will bring on the feelings of negativity, discouragement, sorrow and hopelessness we’ve all experienced at one time or another because of lousy instruction from someone who shouldn’t have been teaching writing in the first place. Ryan will open by reading from an original essay titled “The Worst Teacher I Ever Had,” then open the floor for tales of educational woe. We’ll end by compiling a list of bad writing advice, which we will seal in a time capsule in the hopes that this advice will be forever lost to history.
