Bring Your Writing to Life with Sensory Details
Whether building a fictional world, setting the scene for memoir, or crafting a poem, specific sensory details bring your writing to life. We will begin this session with a series of meditations on touch, sight, sound, smell, and taste, then practice integrating our observations into our writing, seeking out precise descriptions that are uniquely our own. We end the session by choosing the best descriptions to include, cutting the rest so as not to overwhelm the finished piece.
