Genres: Nonfiction, Poetry
Online
Intermediate
6 Sessions
Learn the art of documenting our world through words and images. In this course, you will create a work of graphic journalism, a documentary comic, and visual poetry. We’ll study creators like Ben Passmore, Nate Powell, and Anis Mojgani, and you’ll leave with the skills to create nonfiction comics that say something true about the world as you understand it. You do not need to possess artistic talent, but you will need to be willing to be artistically brave. Expect to create three finished one-page comics.
