Works of creative nonfiction generally default into first person singular, but many contemporary creative nonfiction authors employ point of view in various ways. In this craft intensive, we will study and discuss authors, including Jaquira Díaz, Carmen Maria Machado, Terese Marie Mailhot, Margo Jefferson, and Maxine Hong Kingston. Additionally, we will generate new work that experiments with the nuances and possibilities of each point of view.
