Fairy Tales & Fantasy Scribes for 5-6th grade
In this camp, wonder is the key to unlocking your imagination! Students will dive into the enchanted world of sorcerers and talking animals, mermaids and dragons. They will craft spellbinding fairy tales with original characters, build their own magical worlds, and bring a new lens to familiar stories. Expect to read fairy tales and folklore from different cultures, discuss characters, settings, and themes, and create your own fictional wonder tales. The week will culminate with a reading and/or presentation of student work.
This camp is for students entering 5-6th grade in Fall 2023 and will take place online using Zoom.
Scribes Summer camps are offered on a scaled registration rate in order to offer financially accessible programming for all youth. Payments above the 100% rate help offset costs that allow for accessible programming to continue. Donations of any amount can also be made upon registration. Scholarships are also available by filling out our scholarship application. Questions? Please email youth@hugohouse.org.
