Intro to Screenwriting

This seminar will be an introduction to the craft of screenwriting, including an overview of the ‘fabric’ of story, beginning with basic dramatic structure and progressing to strategies to develop characters who are integral not just to their story world but also to one another. We will also investigate how economical action lines need to be relative to what actually makes it onscreen, as well as how to write with a specific scale of project in mind.
