Karen Finneyfrock
Karen Finneyfrock is the author of two young adult novels, The Sweet Revenge of Celia Door and Starbird Murphy and the World Outside, both published by Viking Children’s Books. She is the author of the poetry collection Ceremony for the Choking Ghost and co-editor of the anthology Courage: Daring Poems for Gutsy Girls (Write Bloody Publishing).
Karen is a former Hugo House Writer-in-Residence, an alumna of Hedgebrook, the Bloedel Reserve, and Mineral School, and a recipient of grants from The City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, 4Culture, and Artist Trust. As a spoken word artist, Karen competed on numerous National Slam Teams, toured nationally and internationally, and acted as a Cultural Envoy for the US Department of State.

To request a refund, log in to your account, go to “My Account,” select the “Orders” tab on the left-hand side, click the appropriate order, and request a refund for your specific class. Class sessions may be recorded if a session falls on a holiday, or if a student has access needs. Class recordings are not guaranteed.

If an instance of community guidelines are violated and not resolved within the classroom, students may let us know by filling out the student incident report.
Classes may be cancelled if less than 5 students are enrolled within 10 days before the class start date. If for any reason Hugo House needs to cancel a class, students can choose between a full credit or full refund.
