Metaphor as Contagious Magic [Shelby Handler]
All Levels | We will examine poems as instruments of magic and experiment with mixed-genre prompts that incorporate divination and intuition. Most writing will be done in-class with some optional daily rituals. Expect to leave with a folio of new work, detailed instructor feedback and unique strategies to enchant your writing practice with power and possibility. Perhaps you’ll even agree with poet Janaka Stucky: “When I say my poems worked as spells, I mean it in a very literal sense.”
