Are you a poet/rapper/songwriter who loves the sound of rhyme and the feeling of reciting lyrical flow? Me too! Come learn how to further exercise the music of language and build on the foundation of your rhyme skills. From subtle cacophonies across the line, to the hard internal and end-rhyme bar structures found in lyrical hip hop, students in this workshop will learn techniques for utilizing sound in a variety of writing styles. We will focus also on techniques to expand the conscious and unconscious use of sound and rhythm and enhance “flow.” PARALLEL BARS is intended for all skill levels and poetic styles.
