Poetry and Publishing Part 2 [Jeanine Walker]
Intermediate | In this class, we’ll continue the in-depth exploration of the publishing process and identify and send to three new markets (perfect for the fall, when many re-open for submissions). We’ll also dive deeply into the process of revision to take existing poems and shape them into their most successful form, with the aim of feeling entirely confident in the poems we send out for publication consideration. Students will participate in a poetry workshop and practice several individual and small-group revision techniques to make each of their poems find its optimal form. Open to all, even those who haven’t taken Poetry & Publishing, Part 1. Interested students may contact the instructor with questions at jmwalkerteaching@gmail.com.
