Radio Drama Scribes at the Jack Straw Cultural Center for 7-8th grade
Radio drama utilizes narration, dialog, music, and sound effects to immerse listeners in the world and story of its characters. In this camp, a partnership between Hugo House and the Jack Straw Cultural Center, students will learn the art of radio drama through script writing, vocal performance and recording, foley and sound effect production, and audio editing and mixing. The camp will culminate with a completed production of student work.
This camp is for students entering 7-8th grade in Fall 2023 and will take place in-person at the Jack Straw Cultural Center. All camps break for lunch from 12-1pm each day.
Scribes Summer camps are offered on a scaled registration rate in order to offer financially accessible programming for all youth. Payments above the 100% rate help offset costs that allow for accessible programming to continue. Donations of any amount can also be made upon registration. Scholarships are also available by filling out our scholarship application. Questions? Please email youth@hugohouse.org.
