What is it about your favorite essay that makes it your favorite? In this class, instructor Minda Honey will teach you how to excavate the craft lessons buried in every essay. You'll learn from essays assigned by the instructor and essays brought to class by you and your peers. Dig deep into what makes an intro hook your attention, solve the mystery of how a writer you admire pulled off that perfect essay ending, and collect the details they've scattered throughout their work to wrap you up in their world and guide you safely over every narrative arc. Then, apply what you've learned to your work-in-progress with in-class writing prompts.
