Screenwriting Scribes with Northwest Film Forum, 9-12th grade
This camp is full! We have another section of Screenwriting Scribes for 9-12th Grade that takes place July 19-23rd.
Students will learn the basics of screenwriting for film, including staging scenes, generating dialogue, and developing action. Students will explore a wide variety of work from carefully curated screenwriters and will participate in writing activities, craft exercises, and experiences designed to inspire their imaginations. This camp will be facilitated by Peter Mountford, a published writer and educator, in addition to guest teaching artists from Northwest Film Forum. This camp will culminate with a performance of student work and the option for students to contribute a chosen piece to a digital anthology of their work.
This camp is for students entering 9th-12th grade in Fall 2021 and will take place online using Zoom and Google Classroom. All camps will break for lunch from 12-1pm each day.
Scholarships are available by application. Questions? Please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
