Screenwriting Scribes GRADES 9-12
Screenwriting Scribes will provide teens with the opportunity to delve into the art of screenwriting: film, television, audio drama, and more. Over this week-long camp, which will feature some great special guests, young writers will explore the process of writing for the screen: from hatching characters and story ideas, to crafting captivating dialogue. Screenwriting is often a collaborative form, so young writers in this camp will combine forces on certain projects, while completing others on their own. All skill levels welcome.
A former fellow of the Independent Film Screenwriters Lab, Screenwriting Scribes instructor Peter Mountford has written scripts for the likes of Danny Glover and James Franco, and an audio play he wrote in 2016 was translated and produced for German radio.
This camp will be held online using Zoom and Google Classroom.
Full tuition for this camp is $450
90% tuition is $405
60% tuition is $270
30% tuition is $135
If you’d like to pay on the sliding scale, or make a donation for another student to attend Scribes, please call 206-322-7030 or email youth@hugohouse.org to register. Full scholarships are also available by application.
