All Levels | Why are some books impossible to put down? It’s simple: When an important outcome is unknown, people can hardly think of anything else. It’s that yearning to turn the pages in order to find out what happens next. Suspense is what makes great stories so absorbing, and it’s why your favorite show is so ridiculously bingeable. We’ll explore extremely practical methods for writing suspensefully, and we’ll learn how to make scenes that leave the reader burning to turn pages.
