TV Pilots and Feature Films: Intensive Workshop [Tawnya Bhattacharya]
It doesn’t matter whether you’re writing TV or film — a successful script includes many of the same ingredients. On the first day of this intense immersion workshop, you’ll learn how to create the critical elements needed in the development process, including: loglines, conceits, compelling characters and formidable opponents, inciting incidents, conflict and stakes, catalyst relationships, and the “why now.” On the second day, you’ll learn how to build a strong structural foundation for your movie or TV script, including: how TV and film stories are structured; how to build individual storylines; how to create thrilling act breaks; how to track your character’s development; and how to illustrate a story’s themes for a TV or film audience. This class includes a lunch break.
