In this workshop, we'll discuss the narrative components that make a compelling, contemporary, queer love story. We'll examine and deconstruct the love stories that move us and inform our lives, with the aim of finding expansive new ways for love stories to twist, turn, and transform. Get ready to do some generative writing exercises on character development, narrative arc, and the kinds of love that don’t get enough attention. The focus is on constructing love stories with fiction techniques, but our discussion can apply to other genres.
