Women in Indy Comics [Eroyn Franklin]

Time: - - - PT
Capacity: seat
Member Price: $265.50
General Price: $295.00

All Levels. This class is open to all gender identities, but we will look at alternative comics produced by women and use them as inspiration and as reference to deconstruct presumed ideas of what a comic is and how a visual story should be told. We will use these works, and visits from local women in indy comics as a jumping off point to create a comic of your own. The class is structured around writing and drawing exercises and projects that build skills and help you develop your voice. We will work from concept to final inked pages including creating characters, building worlds, and scripting and executing stories. At the end, we will discuss how to self-publish your work and get it out in the world. No writing or drawing experience required.
