Writing Dialogue [Nicholas O’Connell]
Dialogue is one the quickest and most effective ways of characterizing someone. Good dialogue provides information as it illuminates character. This class will explain how to set up a dialogue, individuate the speakers, add gestures and body language, and conclude it in such a way that dialogue advances the story, whether in fiction, nonfiction, poetry. Class includes lecture, discussion, and writing of a dialogue scene.
This class takes place at University Heights Center, 5031 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105, Room #108
