Come Closer

Want your reader to come closer to your book, to feel like they are in the middle of the story? Want readers to know what it felt like to be you? We’ll examine what it takes to bring a reader inside a story so they can’t put the book down. We’ll read and discuss published work, examining characterization, narrative tension, dialogue, language, setting, scenes, and images. Students will have the opportunity to receive feedback from the teacher on their writing at least once.
