We will workshop the opening pages of your story or novel with meticulous attention to the promises made by your language. We’ll scrutinize the openings of your story or novel the way fatigued and time-crunched editors, agents, and slush readers at literary magazines do, then rework them to be more instantly absorbing, narratively propulsive, authoritative, and elegant. Bring the first two pages of your manuscript.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Winter quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
