This is a popular class with proven results for those who have been hoping to write a memoir or those who have already begun a memoir but are stalled. Here, inspiration is provided through essays by popular memoir authors – including Frank McCourt and Annie Dillard – on their work and its challenges, as well as a helpful how-to guidebook and weekly 300-word essay assignments that are critiqued both in class and in writing by the instructor.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Spring quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
