Poetry Revision Intensive

Intermediate | Writing is revising, we say. But often we take a first draft, in whatever form it arrives, and chip away at it until it looks something like a poem. Yet revision has the potential to be a much more radical and creative act. In this class, we’ll explore multiple techniques for re-envisioning and revising poems. You’ll have a chance to workshop three of your poems, emerging with 8-12 substantial revisions and a range of revision tools.

Beginning Fall 2021, we will be adding select in-person classes back to our course catalog. The majority of our classes will still be offered via Zoom.

If a class says IN-PERSON in its title, it will take place in person at our permanent home in Seattle.

If a class says ASYNCHRONOUS in its title, it will take place on Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform.

If a class does not have a marker after its title, it will take place via Zoom.
