Wallace Stevens says the poet’s subject is his or her sense of the world. For writers of all genres, we will experiment with right-brain writing strategies aimed at retrieving tiny filaments of memory, remembered gestures, and atmospheres that will inform our understanding of our “sense of the world.” Examples by Franz Kafka, Sandra Cisneros, and others will be discussed.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online-either through Zoom or through Wet Ink, our asynchronous learning platform-through Winter quarter 2021.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
