All Levels | In this generative workshop for all prose writers and poets, we will compile a list of place indicators, explore your own home-grounds from which your best writing emerges, and do exercises that demonstrate the way writers and poets can utilize place to solve many writing challenges. The goal for all participants is to return home able to view your writing through an earth-and-place-centric lens.

Patricia Henley is the author of three novels, four collections of stories, two chapbooks of poetry, and a stage play. Her novel Hummingbird House was a finalist for the National Book Award and The New Yorker Fiction Prize. For 26 years she taught in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Purdue University.
