All Levels | Joseph Campbell’s The Hero’s Journey is about finding the hero in the fictional or real stories that are our lives and giving that hero expression. Weekly lectures will be handed out and weekly assignments (optional) will be given and discussed in class. No in-class writing prompts as time together will be spent learning and discussing. Required reading: The Writer’s Journey by Christopher Vogler and/or The Outlaw’s Journey by Gloria Kempton.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online until further notice. If there's a possibility that your class might take place in person, you will be notified in advance. Even if classes can be held in person, there will always be a hybrid option to participate via Zoom.
Classes with "Zoom" in the title will be held via Zoom even after our doors open. Classes listed as "Online" will be held on Wet Ink, our platform for asynchronous learning.

Gloria Kempton is an author, writing coach and former magazine and book editor. She is the author of eleven books, including Write Great Fiction: Dialogue and The Outlaw’s Journey; A Mythological Approach to Storytelling for Writers Behind Bars. She’s a former contributing editor to Writer’s Digest magazine and an instructor with their online writing courses: writersonlineworkshops.com. She also teaches online at writers.com and to incarcerated writers at the Regional Justice Center in Kent, WA.
