All Levels. In many ways, comedy hinges on the art of surprise and the ability to subvert expectations. We’ll examine how a writer’s voice distinguishes itself as comedic. We’ll cultivate our understanding of the subtleties, ironies, and paradoxes of language to discuss important issues and hone our critical thinking. We’ll also regularly write together based on a number of creative prompts. Each student will have the chance to workshop two pieces.
