The Golf Pencil Group offers a weekly creative writing workshop to women experiencing incarceration at the King County Jail in partnership with Hugo House. We invite you to join in experiencing a bit of the work that we do.
Jay Thompson and Anna Vodicka lead this writing class and community-building creative space for new and beginning writers—the hesitant, the diary keepers, the secret poets, and the curious. Enjoy prompts, snacks, mood music, and readings and exercises inspired by work with the Golf Pencil Group. This class is free and open to the public.
Those experiencing re-entry are welcome, and encouraged to attend.
Registration is free! And you are welcome to attend without pre-registration. Just show up!
This workshop is offered in partnership with 4Culture.
Due to COVID-19, all classes will take place online until further notice. If there's a possibility that your class might take place in person, you will be notified in advance. Even if classes can be held in person, there will always be a hybrid option to participate via Zoom.
Classes with "Zoom" in the title will be held via Zoom even after our doors open. Classes listed as "Online" will be held on Wet Ink, our platform for asynchronous learning.
All times are listed in Pacific Time.
